Welcome!

Photo:  Paul Grupp
A lifetime of self-loathing and unhealthy relationships with people and food are what blew me up to my highest weight of 227 pounds on my 5'0" frame.  After losing 100 pounds, I eventually went back to old and familiar ways of thinking and behaving, and in one year found myself 30 pounds heavier.

This blog is to document my battle with using food as a comfort, a way to cope, an attempt to fill an internal bottomless void. (Accountability is a tool that works for me.)  Perhaps you'll see yourself in my daily quest.

I will also provide many tools to help you (and me) to be successful with lifelong weight loss and maintenance.

I am eager to hear your stories, your triumphs, your struggles, and areas which you feel need improvement.  I'll stay busy continuing to loving myself, finding new coping strategies, and using food for its intended purpose...to nourish my body.  Period.

C'mon, fellow divas...are you with me?

(By the way, the date at the top of this entry is designed to keep it in the number one position.)
